I downloaded a scientific paper about knocking on wood along with the crowd-sourced Wikipedia list, then provided it to Claude Code and asked it to plot the data on a three.js globe. This site is hosted on Fly.io, a US-based infrastructure provider. The database is SQLite, stored on an encrypted persistent volume. Verification emails are sent via Resend. Google Forms is used as one verification option because it allows email confirmation without sending anything to your inbox. The site itself is a simple open-source Flask application. No analytics or tracking scripts are used. DNS and SSL are managed through Cloudflare.

Node.js already had its own streaming API at the time that was ported to also work in browsers, but WHATWG chose not to use it as a starting point given that it is chartered to only consider the needs of Web browsers.
